Description
Welcome to Reese's (that's me!) Anomaly Genes. My little plethora of Biotech genes based on Anomaly, because it was just missing something without a little integration.

What Does This Add?
- Psychic vertebrae
Pawn can go invisible at will for a short period of time.

- Metalblood injection
Temporarily boost's a pawn's durability. Watch out for fire though.

- Void terror
Inflict a pawn with a hallucination that will make them run in fear. There are five charges.

- Corrosive spray
An advancement on the Acid Spray with longer range. Just a ghoul implant thing.

- Disturbing
Grants the disturbing trait, which makes the pawn talk about gross stuff and make other pawns uncomfortable.

- Void fascination
Grants the void fascination trait, which gives a pawn risk to release entities.

- Crumbled mind
it means they forgor

- Lobotomized
Haha it's the funny brain surgery meme thing. Happy all the time, but unable to do most work.

So go nuts! Make a race of psychic shades that turn invisible, make a bunch of metal people, make Frankenstein's monster for all I care! All of your dead-eyed dreams can come true!

Questions
Q: Does this include creep traits?
A: Just some of the bad ones, since a few mods already do the positive ones. Check out Integrated Creepjoiners and ReSplice Core
See also EBSG Anomaly Genes

Q: Does this conflict with any gene mods?
A: Nope, in fact it's specifically patched up to mesh right with Vanilla Expanded and Alpha Genes.

Q: The ghastly hair gene isn't working!
A: You can thank Ideology for that. Simply edit the relevant ideoligion to include cultist hair types.
Somebody needs to make a mod that just removes the hair thing from Ideology.

I'm sorry, I wasn't as experienced when I made this mod as I am now, and I'm not currently modding the game.

Hi, a little bit of feedback from playing a bit with some of these genes:

Psychic vertebrea - while decent it's not exactly worth 3 points; it feels like it's at most on par with flight genes (which tend to be 2) or the Robust one.

Void terror - is legit bonkers amazing! 4 is not small, but I could see it easily be worth even 5.

(also reading your recent comment about it working as a gene - I would just keep it in, leave it outside of a predefined xenotype, and let it up to players to give it their own head canon. I mean it's not even that crazy compared to other genes in Biotech or mods. Perhaps make it an archite gene? Would actually fit into the preexisting loose lore connections)

Cheers

Ngl i mainly got this mod for the void skip gene, do u have any plans of making a separate mod with it?

new update for 1.6
- Removed Metalhorror Infestation gene and Void Skip gene. They were both broken and didn't make sense as genes.
I can say that I doubt anything else will be getting removed, though.
- Apologized for my mod being such a burning trash fire. (sorry)

If I ever add more abilities, it probably won't be as genes, it just doesn't make that much sense for psychic abilities to be applied through genes. Void terror for example, how do you do that with genetics?

I didn't really even make it, I just ported the Unnatural Corpse's ability to a gene, I have no idea how it works.

@StockSounds I dunno I liked the mobility it had (mainly because it meant my pawn could still walk slow normally and just have bursts of speed) if you fixed it it'd be fiya

I probably shouldn't have added that... oh well, I might just remove it this afternoon, that sound good?
I did say it might break... hm.

the anomaly skip gene doesn't seem to work anymore, can't target anything

The mod has been updated to 1.6!
This has been by far one of my favorite gene mods to use, and is my most popular mod by far. Thanks everyone! I'd love to receive more feedback if you all can provide.
