GII L'Hiver Edition version by ARTstuff

Description
Mod Type: Re-Texture, Re-Model, Re-Balance, Re-World
Author: unknown111
Current Version: 1.3 (Update from 03.02.22)

📜This is my personal version of the L'Hiver mod, originally created solely for my own use. However, I decided to share it — perhaps it will bring visual enjoyment to someone else as well.

The main changes focus on textures and models, which I carefully selected from various well-known modifications, such as The Returning, Vurt's Graphics Overhaul, and others.

The mod also includes my own Human Head Remaster, featuring improved and more detailed character heads.

In addition, I made minor edits to the World.zen files: I fixed several visual glitches and removed excessive vegetation in certain areas to improve visual clarity and overall atmosphere.

🔄Changelog (Improved Overview):
• In Khorinis, teleport runes to the Landlord's house and Orlan's Tavern have been added — less running across the city.

• More permanent potions have been scattered throughout the world. Stay alert and explore carefully.

• A variety of 3D models that were previously left unused by the original author have now been implemented.

• Jharkendar has been fully upgraded with high-resolution textures, giving the area a richer visual appearance.

• Magical bows now come with more arrows, and crossbows have more bolts — they’re much more useful now.

• The castle in the Valley of Mines has been enhanced with additional interior details. All torches now emit proper light sources.

• A statue of Innos has been added to the castle, adding a unique spiritual touch to the location.

• The teleport to the Demon Tower has been restored. The teleport rune to the castle now lies on a table — just like in the vanilla Gothic 2.

• Every crossbow now has a unique 3D model, giving each one its own identity.

• Dragons have been reworked with new 3D models — more imposing and realistic.

• Previously empty caves are now filled with vegetation and additional loot, making exploration more rewarding.

• The appearance of the final boss arena in Irdorath has been enhanced with new details to create a more atmospheric environment.

• New idle animations have been added for the main character and all NPCs, making the world feel more alive.

• The user interface has been adjusted to better reflect the original Gothic style.

• Music from Gothic 1 no longer plays in the Valley of Mines or the main menu — restoring the proper mood and immersion.

Enjoy your journey through the world of Gothic! 🔥⚔️🏹

This sounds very promising and nice. I'm currently playing "Renovation mod" also a big fan of "Nostalgic Edition" i saw many people playing L'Hiver and i want to give it a try. i'll definitely try this version since is sounds so good. i'll save it for later.

I’m aware that the Dragon Hunter’s crossbow model is missing its texture. I’ve already fixed this issue, so please wait a little until the next update.

Btw. Dragon hunter's crossbow model/texture is bugged.

Nvm, I figured it out, I just replaced textures.

Did you install other texture pack (like artemiano) besides The one from The mod?

Is there any chance to change quest log menu transparency? Quest details overlaps on quest list making it less readable.

You need to use the blacksmith’s workbench. At the bottom, there will be an option to remove or equip the helmet.

Guys, does anyone know how to put the paladin/mage hood/helmet on?

Once you learn the recipe for the "Pure Health" potion — whether it's from Sagitta, Ignaz, or someone else — Constantine will have a new dialogue option. You have to ask him what new potion he can teach you. In that list, you'll find the Strength Elixir, which you can then learn and use to brew permanent strength potions.

Can someone please tell me who teaches strength potions? I swear every alchemist I come across only teaches dexterity potions.
