Extended Ashigaru Units

Description
Just a small mod that adds katana ashigaru and katana cavalry ashigaru to all factions, both available from the very start with no build/tech requirements needed.

The AI really likes to create these units, which I find helps to add a different approach to attack and defence strategies early game as it is no longer just yari and bow ashigaru units everywhere.

Also includes faction bonus versions, for example, Hattori katana ashigaru, Oda katana ashigaru.

These units have been added to the rebel factions also to add more variety to invasions.

Should have no compatibility issues as they are new units. Save game compatible too. Load order, can most likely go straight to the bottom.

I like the Katana Cavalry. I run this with the Weierstrass and Brigade unit mods and it works, though Weierstrass' mod already has Katana Ashigaru, the cavalry are pretty cool. How did you make this mod?

@Spectre3 They are same as light cavalry. Their stats are slightly weaker though, but better in melee combat, as they have swords, not spears. The were never meant to be strong, just like regular ashigaru. They are still effective as cavalry, just more vulnerable than other cavalry.

Indeed, late game it’s a very fast tactic to get a decent army in case of losing your main one. And the AI seems to be loving those troops just as you said.

@ Thanks for the feedback. I really got bored of early game units just being yari and bow ashigaru. The units are no match for their samurai counter parts, but still useful. Plus with the AI constantly including them in their armies, makes combat more interesting.

One of my favorite mods so far for early game. Having a cheap and reliable cavalry early on is very important. I always keep a few outside my towns as they have so cheap upkeep. The sword Ashigaru are also very nice addition. Much appreciated for such an amazing unit mod.
