Description
A patch for the Vanilla Races Expanded - Fungoid mod.

Ever wonder why you can have a colonist sit in a pile of rotting corpses and get a near lethal dose of rotstink without losing their lunch, but the moment they so much as speak to a fungoid they feel an uncontrollable and immediate urge to hurl? Or are you simply not willing to become a fungal horde just to experience this xenotype in any meaningful way? Well worry not, as I finally decided to do something about this.

This mod replaces the "Repulsive" gene on the Fungoid xenotype (the gene that causes the uncontrolled vomiting after any social interaction with a fungoid) with the same "Replusive" gene from the Alpha Genes mod (which instead inflicts a mood penalty on every non-repulsive pawn that views them). Hopefully this will allow those who were put off by the gameplay issues the uncontrolled vomiting caused to be able to try out what is otherwise a very unique and interesting xenotype!

This can be loaded in an existing save, however it will only affect newly spawned Fungoid pawns. Also, ensure that no other mod is loaded after this one that modifies the same genes from either Alpha Genes or VRE-Fungoid as it may override this patch.

That was such a stupid "feature." I love my based mushroom men and I made a Mod of my own that prevents them from being retards that can't think (they just learn slower) and causing insta-vomit.

omg thank you for this. i have a fungoid in my medieval save and the vomit is driving me up the wall. its so bad ive thought about kicking him out for that reason alone lmao. the xenotype is very cool but the vomiting makes it almost unplayable too me it is just too annoying and theres no way to work around it. (believe me ive tried)

@exBenNN For this patch specifically, no as I feel the Repulsive gene thematically makes sense while also keeping the Xenotype balanced. But I'll look into releasing a new patch that just removes the vomiting gene for those that don't care about that.
