Description
Cubes and buttons... What else?

Difficulty*: Logical: 6/10 Skill: 5/10 Creativity: 5/10

Built for the "Cubbut " competition of the P2LC Group. No Pedestal were harmed in the making of this map.

Thanks Polux, Requiemsoul, Toncica, Myr and marKiu for feedbacks.

*Difficulty is scaled for experimented players, 4/10 matches campain difficulty. Logical is about number of "elementary" steps (portal, pressing a button, jumping,..) you will need to achieve a key stage in puzzle; Skill is about firing portal while jumping, timed moves,.. what is linked to player's moves; ninja's skills (cube jumping, bunny hop,...) is set to 11/10. At last Creativity sets "elementary step" difficulty; high creativity means you will need to use elements in an unusual way (rotate a cube by walking on it, getting height using light bridge or funnel spamming on a white wall,...).

Oh, fine then :)

Nah, it's more of a PEBKAC issue. :)

Thanks, difficult because of the jump or because of stacks?

Thanks for playing and commenting!

About the layout, I ve always had hard times managing the art/clarity part. I liked how the map looks, probably needed more room indeed but.. well, not going back to that :D

About faith plates, yes it was in BEE, but I didn't notice it was removed :/

@Talisac: Fantastic map! At the moment I'm playing all your maps I "forgot" / didn't play in the past. ~ 10 maps I guess. This one is really clever and it took me a long time to realise what's my goal for the beginning/middle part. It was very sneaky. I thought the same as @marKiu, going through those fizzlers felt so "wrong".
The last maneveur was very clear since I started the map.

Tbh, the layout could be improved with more room here and there, better antlines and more lightning. But it's okay for such an old map, especially when the puzzle itself is that interesting. Plus I know that your two latest puzzles are so well-crafted and you've evolved since then. Keep up your work, it's always a pleasure!

Another thing: I remember that you used faith plates, that could change their direction - was that an old (now removed) BEE item?

@Polux: Merci d'avoir sacrifié quelques.. euh.. minutes dans la map xD J'imagine que c'est à cause de la manette que le dernier saut est laborieux, vu qu'il ne me pose pas beaucoup de problème malgré mes capacités en la matière...

@Ganymede: Thanks for playing! Not really experienced in making maps, but worked quite a lot with sketchup and autocad. Haven't tried hammer yet.. Maybe one day :)

Glad you liked it! For the very last part, cube stacking is indeed involved, but there is an element to help you setting them. I'm not into ninja tricks, but if you're doing it the right way, it shouldn't be very hard (you just have to use "Forward" and "Jump" keys :p )

I didn't quite finish this one, but I got close enough. I got all the cubes and worked on getting up to the exit ledge for a while. If it involves stacking cubes then it's really not my thing.

The geometry of this map is simply beautiful! Do you have any experience making maps for other games? It really looks like you have your curved geometry down pretty solid. I haven't seen many maps that are quite on this level.

Other than that, most of the map is just a lot of really fun logical steps. For a while, I completely missed the opportunity to use the cube as a stepping stone to get out of the center room , so I ended up doing a lot of useless logic where I tried to solve it without that, but that was the only place I got stuck.
