Joel Miller - one of the main characters of the game series "The Last of Us". Joel is a sensitive single father who is very protective of his daughter. Over the past 20 years, during which time Joel has witnessed more horrific events, he has changed significantly, including resorting to violence to solve his problems and being cold to Ellie for a time. Joel has become resourceful, practical and emotionless, but he has never been able to overcome the psychological trauma. He does not want to become attached to other people because he is afraid of losing them.
