Description
BACKGROUND
The RX-318 heavy lift helicopter, built by (fictional) Ray Industries since 2018, is a tandem-rotor powerhouse designed for extreme cargo and utility operations. Engineered to meet demanding military and industrial standards, the RX-318 is powered by a high-performance jet engine and boasts an impressive 7,000 kg lifting capacity. Equipped with dual cargo hatches (rear and floor drop-down), a precision remote-controlled winch system, advanced radar, and avionics, the RX-318 is built for versatility in the harshest conditions. Whether transporting heavy equipment, performing aerial construction, or executing critical supply drops, the RX-318 is a reliable workhorse for any mission.

INSTRUCTIONS
Turn on the "Engines Power", which is located in the centre console. The jet engine will start automatically. When warmed up and spinning at idle, hit the "Rotor Clutch" and you are ready for flight. The system switches and light switches are located on the centre console.

TIPS
  • The helicopter tends to yaw to the left when in start-up mode, this can be countered by pressing yaw right and applying wheel brakes. Alternatively, don't engage the rotor clutch until the engines are in idle mode, this will prevent any spinning.
  • When making a precision landing, use the "UNDR" camera, align the helicopter, toggle position hold, and descend.

mackidoux2010 Centre console to the right of the pilot seat are two switches, engine power and rotor clutch. First starts the engine second starts the props.

Thanks for the comment! No XML modding, all organic coding of my position hold and systems!

How do you get it to be so stable? Im building my own tandem and the position hold just gets worse and worse the longer its on, it just rocks and rocks until its practically upside down. Yours is like rock solid still while in mid air. Is this where the XLM modding you mention in your videos comes in?

Would be neat if the overhead cargo crane could have a remote control. It is kind of a pain to run to the back of the hold, move the crane, then run back to the door to get all of the connections made.

Alternately, overhead crane controls near the door would be useful too.
