MINECRAFT NAMETAGS

MINECRAFT NAMETAGS is a Garry's Mod addon that brings Minecraft-style nametags to your game, displaying player names above their heads in the iconic blocky font. This addon enhances your multiplayer experience by allowing players to see their own nametags and toggle visibility, offering a fun and nostalgic touch.

Console Commands:
- `mc_identifyme`: Toggles the visibility of your own nametag. (sucks sorry, but its there)
- `mc_maxdistance <amount>`: Sets the maximum distance at which player nametags are visible. (default 1000)



Font:
  • Is it required?: No the font is not required if you dont have it installed it will revert to gmod default font.



Features:
  • Minecraft-Style Nametags: Displays player names in a blocky Minecraft-style font above each player's head.
  • Toggle Own Nametag Visibility: Use the `mc_identifyme` command to show or hide your own nametag.
  • Adjustable Visibility Distance: Set how far away player nametags can be seen using the `mc_maxdistance` command.
  • Custom Font Support: Uses the "Minecraft" font for an authentic experience.
  • Persistent Settings: Saves your preferences for nametag visibility and distance in the data folder, ensuring settings persist across sessions.
  • Performance Optimized: Efficiently renders nametags without causing lag or jitter, even with multiple players.

i did make this addon after seeing your addon, but i didnt use your code for it. i did use chatgpt for a quick look over of my addon to make sure everything was fine, and it added alot of comments and a few fixes to my code,

and our addons are very similar as they do pretty much the same thing so the code would share some of the same code just for the nature of what they both do

Quick question, did you happen to use some of my code from this addon here: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3351890946

I downloaded both and noticed some of lines of the code is the exact same or some being the same but changed. If you did I would like to be marked as a creator, its not right to take code (if you did) and not give back the credit. I would've liked if you gave credit. Some of the commented out notes are also the exact same

I've made it so it's barely visible behind walls, similar to how it is in Minecraft. The update has been pushed to the workshop and should be available soon.
