So, Triton Republic wanted an Atmospheric fighter but with reach, F-90 wasn't cutting it, neither did the Sky Falcons or Skyhawks, they wanted more, so...one Triton Republic official saw F-704 Starfighter and said, why not slap Atmospheric Thrusters to that and make it use the Hydrogen Thrusters only while in Space, theoretically doubling the range, and the Blue Jay was born
