Rock Springs Police Pack

Description
UPDATE! Assets now have custom lighting patterns! It requires the mods specified to work, but they are lightweight mods that won't affect your game performance much, and will enhance the asset a lot. Please use them! If you don't, the asset will still have vanilla old boring emergency lights, meaning it **will** work without these mods.

"Guardians of Community"

Rock Springs is a fictional city based on Boulder Colorado, while also taking inspirations from other various cities in Colorado, Arizona, Wyoming, Minnesota, and such. The city takes place in the Wahatoya County of the state of Jackson, and is in close proximity to the state's capital Dakota Falls.

This pack contains two cars, a 2015 Ford Police Interceptor Sedan and a 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe PPV and was commissioned for Gaseous Stranger's Dakota Falls Youtube series , a highly modded detailed Cities Skylines series focusing on the area of Rocky Mountains and Mississippi River. I highly suggest you to check it out.

I modified the Taurus model of VeesGuy to make it fully up to police interceptor spec, would suggest you to use this if you want to make your own FPIS police cars.

As I've said, contains two police vehicles and two props.

Technical Details:

FPIS
4484 tris
1024x1024 textures
LOD auto-generated

Tahoe
4213 tris
1024x1024 textures
LOD auto-generated

Original models by Veesguy, textures and modifications by me, ApollonDriver. Also a big thanks to Jaksch for his help with the normal map of the FPIS, and to gwondsepp for all the help with custom lighting.

I was also confused for a moment by the fictional "Rock Springs" livery because as Nik pointed out, it is in fact a real city in WY and I've driven through many, many times as a OTR truck driver. I also love Gaseous Strangers CS creations, are my absolute favorites. Great job with these police vehicles-- thanks!

Not disappointed at all haha just was thinking for a second "why would someone make a livery for a random city in Wyoming" and then I saw the description and the livery itself lol

Hehe, sorry to disappoint :D I try not to make real life specific liveries unless it's for a commission or personal project

Oof, threw me off guard because I thought this was a cop car for Rock Springs, WY

Thats how I have been doing it too! And if you can that would be awesome!
ApollonDriver  [author] 19 Apr @ 1:44pm
@Marty I have actually been thinking about that as well, I have been using Concerts DLC props to create such effects on props but those cause a lot of lag. Effects made by this mod are much less performance consuming and nicer looking

This is amazing! Any chance we can get the flashing lights added to the prop version like @BlueThunder does? Not sure if yall can work together to achieve this

@casmatori if you want you are free to add 14 more models for the pack. I don't have time or will to make more, this isn't real life and I'm not a police fleet manager. Additionally, many departments still use a ton of Tauruses, they were procuded from 2013 to 2020 as Police Interceptor Sedans. So a department would have 5 year old Taurus cars more than 12. Think before making dumb comments and annoying people.

I doubt an agency would only have 12 year old Ford Taurus cars and new Tahoes. Police departments would likely have similar models because they would be easier to maintain. They would most likely have a massive fleet of Tahoes.

@ApollonDriver Got it, thanks!
