Description
Adds 12 new Future-era units for all regular unit classes, with models taken from Beyond Earth. The units are direct strength upgrades from their predecessors and do not come with any new abilities. However, there is a change in the strategic resource required in some cases.

Four policies have been added to boost the production of the new units. Policies which previously boosted all units of a given type (Military First, Lightning Warfare, International Waters, Strategic Air Force) only affect units up to the Information era now. The new policies also come with some additional flavor bonuses, more info below.



Even though part of Project 6T, this mod does *not* require Grand Eras or any other mod!

  • Shooter Games
    Military
    Requires Information Warfare.
    > +50% Production toward all melee, anti-cavalry, and ranged units.
    > +4 Loyalty per turn and +1 Amenity for cities with a garrisoned unit.

  • GIS Arta
    Military
    Requires Information Warfare.
    > +50% Production toward all heavy and light cavalry units.
    > Observation Balloons and Drones apply their bonuses to Information and Future era ranged units.

  • Artificial Islands
    Military
    Requires Exodus Imperative.
    > +100% Production toward all naval units, excluding Carriers.
    > Building a Seastead triggers a Culture Bomb, claiming surrounding tiles.

  • Precision Strikes
    Military
    Requires Exodus Imperative.
    > +50% Production toward all air and carrier units.
    > Accumulate 25% less war weariness from combat outside your territory.

Compatibility and Recommendations

Requires Gathering Storm. Project 6T's "Grand Eras" and all its other Unit Expansion mods is recommended but not required.

This mod currently isn't set up for any other mods adding very late-game units, whether generic or unique.

Known Issues
The units currently don't have any attack VFX or sound. Such weren't included in the assets published by Deliverator and I myself lack the skills to add them. But if you're not using Quick Combat and Movement this late in the game, you're absolutely mad anyway...

@JNR, I've opened a discussion regarding the fact that land/naval future units have the same, or even less movement points than the older units.
* On top of that, they are lacking the possibility of a General/Admiral boosting them.

Only thing I will complain is units not having attack GFX and no nuke animations. Otherwise addition of these units are nice.

Just played this and it's awesome. Bravo. Love to see my BE Purity LEV tanks again. It just needs Rome having the Roman-looking Battle Suits ;). If I had time, I'd help you add all the affinity's and maybe even a choice for the player. Basically, just bolt BE onto 6... tech web and all. But this rocks. A must have for any Domination play. Also love the no constant resource drain - as a uranium core would power anything for years.

No fighting effect from new units though. Like use the future fighter bomber to nuke the city no nuke effect at all. Other wise everything is perfect.

I don't have such plans. I'm pretty much done for VI except for an entirely new project.

But anyone wanting to convert the mod into a non-6T version is free to make and publish it.
