Alyx's Enhanced Multitool

Beskrivning
A facelift for Alyx's multitool model, with a more detailed mesh and texture that still keeps within HL2's art style and level of detail.

This is modified from a model found in Half-Life 2: Survivor, a version of the game specially built for Japan arcades by Taito which included a multiplayer with lots of unique assets, one of which was a Stungun weapon based on Alyx's multitool. Beyond changing the color to match up with the HL2 version, it also has an improved bump map with phong shaders for that EP2-style makeover.

Probably not what most would consider an HD replacement. It has double the texture resolution of the original but that's not saying much given that the HL2 model was a mere 128x128 pixels. At least any performance impacts should be minimal given the modest texture side and mesh detail.

It's not about why, it's about why not.

love mods that just enchance the look of things ingame instead of replacing them with super HD models that dont fit in HL2 because no matter how much HD slop you pour into the game it doesnt cover up the fact this is a 20 year old game

I like mods like this that improve something smaller ways. Nicely done!
