The engineers, did not agree with this. Only once Carlos threatened to fire them did they actually consider it, but deep down they knew it wasn't going to work. And it didn't until they made some larger changes. Still, it was not enough and they even lost money due to the poor performance. Compared to the much more modern designs of other racers, this version of the blaze lacked good enough turn rate, and was way slower.
