Description
Mapping Jam 7 was a mapping event for Classic TSE v1.07 that was happening between 1st September and 15th November 2024.
This event's theme was creating a map around 30 minutes long in limited boundary of 200x200x200 units.

v1.1 (31st December 2024)

===== The Bell Tower =====

- added a few models in areas that felt empty
- fixed some lighting glitches around first elevator
- slightly adjusted cutscene start timer
- adjusted ammo for Serious difficulty
- added additional fights and increased enemy count in some fights
- added more enemy spawns for Serious difficulty
- added coop spawns to heavy fight areas

Cave
- fixed broken triggers that would softlock the level in coop

DB Shotgun area
- increased sense range for enemies
- adjusted respawn time

Bell Tower
- added Wave 05
- changed music
- lowered respawn time for all items on Serious difficulty


===== Pirates of the Madness =====

- texture flicker fixes, added detail textures
- removed multiple brushes to help with performance
- replaced level music
- removed some unnecessary lighting and models that were affecting performance
- brushes now have proper detail and stairs flag ticked where needed
- improved enemy encounters, reworked some fights and item placements


===== Relay Node Horus =====

- minor level geometry fixes
- coop related fixes, correct set of weapons at every checkpoint


===== The Ascent =====

- changed thumbnail and NETRICSA images
- fixed typos in NETRICSA messages
- changed cloud textures
- fixed lighting errors on some of the architecture
- added new music at the start of the level
- added more ambient sounds
- added extra particle effects to guide the player
- added more health and armor
- changed some of the fights to be easier
- coop only change: removed most of the effects that were causing desync issues in multiplayer

Oh remember some old events that forced a 200^3 meter limit, if not smaller. These still fascinate me, as it is a great measure of how to optimize space which seems like a lost talent these days.

Fun maps! "The Bell Tower" is my favorite. It's a shame that I haven't got time to participate in this jam (it would be my first experience with SE) but at least I can have fun with it's results :D
