The racing age had begun, and while the races were most popular on land, more dangerous air racing started gaining popularity as well. As a result of this, the Blaze was created. Built to be easier to control, it was decided to make it a propeller plane. This proved to be useful, since the earlier air races didn't feature sharp turns or obstacles. All this led the Blaze to be one of the most successful early racing planes.
