This mod aims to replace the regular Combine and Metropolice pain and death sounds with those from Deus Ex.

huh thats kind of disappointing that everyone else will make the exact same sounds but its pretty cool you went through all the effort just to try and make it work so big props for that :steamthumbsup: thanks for your work

So, I tried to dabble with the player sounds issue and here is the result: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3396111717&searchtext=

The unintended, and rather funny, side effect of that, is that the other human NPCs also use the same replaced sounds, since the flesh_bullet_impact files are shared.

Don't really know. I may attempt to test it tomorrow. I can always brute force through it and replace all player pain sounds, see if any would work.

If successful, I will probably separate the mod into two: one for npcs and one for the player.

is it possible to give working pain sounds to the player?? I seen other pain sfx mods that supposedly give the player pain sounds but nothing happens if you're getting hit or shot at. something about there being no script for the sounds to play even though in the files he has some.
