CH SOB RABe 526 Flirt 3

On 16 August 2018, the first ‘Flirt 3’ for Südostbahn (SOB), RABe 526 001, undertook its first test runs on the SBB Thurtal line. The SOB has ordered five of these 77-metre-long four-car trains from StadlerRail, which will primarily be used to reinforce the future new Voralpen-Express ‘Traverso’ trains between St.Gallen and Rapperswil, but will also be deployed on S-Bahn services.
