Better Maps
Mod that finally corrects some maps for multiplayer purposes! New paths, better street positions, fixed towers, fixed VPs, fixed capture points, new attacking positions, removed slums and much more!

Barbarian walls have 2/3 of the vanilla HP to fix the fact that most barbarian maps are very defender heavy. Also keep in mind most maps are also considered defender heavy, so to balance them in a multiplayer siege setting i tried to make attack stronger. Expect to have a harder time defending with this mod.

Some example images of the building changes above. (Not all are there)

List of maps and respective changes so far:

- Eildon Large - Closer deployment zone, new street in the middle of the main attack, new street to VP.
-Tur large - Adjusted arrow tower position, new opening on the middle building to favor attack, removed inner walls, moved VP, new street to new VP.
-Tulifurdum large - Removed slums outside, removed buildings on the hill, new VP position, new street to VP, removed hill towers (too op for defenders), new buildings to make missile fights more balanced.
-Ancyra large- Fixed brigde, removed some buildings near the gate to get a bigger gap, removed some buildings on the side to fix pathfinding.
-Camulodunon large - Fixed VP.
-Diospolis large - Removed a bunch of slums, made a new street, fixed brigde.
-Diospolis medium- Removed a bunch of slums, made a new street, removed the towers from one of the gate (too many defending towers in a small area).
-Cyrene large - Fixed VP.
-Athens large - Removed slums, new streets.
-Athens medium - Removed slums, closer deployment zone.
-Tarsus large- Fixed VP, removed some slums, changed all ballista walls for normal walls, fixed a glitch on the wall where units could not pass in vanilla, made a new street.
-Delminium large - Made the map with 3 VPs, changed the inner keep completely, made new streets, you can pass through some villas.
-Antioch large - Fixed a bit of the pathfinding on the broken walls, fixed VP, fixed one of the tower capture points.
-Antioch medium - Removed keep, added new staircases, made a new street, removed slums, new VP.
-Kath large - fixed one of the glitched towers (the capture point didnt work for it, because it was attributed to a different one)
-Persepolis large - Deployment zone closer, fixed VP.
-Babylon large- Fixed with 2 VPs (it NEEDS the one outside so the attackers get the countdown started by only capping 1 VP. It's uncappable by the defenders).
-Babylon medium- Fixed some glitched walls that in vanilla aren't breakable, removed inner walls.
-Lupfurdum large- Made a bunch of new streets, removed slums, widened main street, fixed VP.
-Petra large- New streets, removed slums, reworked gate and arrow tower positions.


These changes are meant to bring balance to multiplayer siege battles, but they should work on campaign if you want!

I have a bunch of ideas and plans for the future, please be patient these changes especially involving buildings take a long time. In theory, i can make a new map but it will take a LOT of work and time. Nonetheless, all suggestions are welcome!

There are NO glitches in this mod that causes problems with torts, units, lobby connections or whatever like that, if its happening then it also happens in vanilla. Any glitches related to the MAP itself then please let me know.

I keep updating the mod and changing maps that i have already changed, so the change descriptions might not be up to date.

This mod SHOULD be COMPATIBLE with any unit mods and unit overhauls. If it doesn't change maps then you can activate this.

@Augustus II - Yeah it works for my unbelievably bloated Divide et Impera mod stack! Or at least I haven't noticed issues yet. Mainly I got this to deal with an unbelievably annoying issue where I was trying to help an ally take Delminium and it kept spawning my army behind a freaking mountain range lol.

It's quite complicated to explain it through text, and for now i'm doing it in a very rudimentary way, trial and error style. But i'll see if i can get someone to make a program or script or something to make it more automated and release it to the public.
