[B42] "Furry Mod" FORK

Description
Simple conversions of the Anthro Survivors mod species into clothing items, for compatibility with B42. I will cease support for this mod whenever the official mod updates for B42.

If you're still using B41, use the original mod instead. This is not compatible with B41.

How does it work?
  1. Enable the mod in the "Mods" tab.
  2. Start a game using Sandbox settings.
  3. In Sandbox settings, make sure "All clothing unlocked" is checked in the "Character" tab.
  4. Once you get to character customization, scroll down to "Underwear Legs Extra".
  5. In "Underwear Legs Extra", select your desired species/gender.
That's it! Be aware that this is your only chance to choose your species, you can't change it like you can in the actual Anthro Survivors mod. Anthro "skins" should not spawn in loot tables, nor should they spawn on zombies. If they do, somehow... well, lucky you! But as far as I'm aware the mod isn't wired to do that. I removed all the tricky code that I didn't know how to update myself.

Known issues

Anthros no longer have a "shake" interaction like they do in the original Anthro Survivors mod. This was tied to the whole species choosing function, which I did not touch.

For reasons I don't understand, "female" model shoulders clip with skin tight clothing. Maybe Indie Stone changed the female mesh or something. I don't plan to fix it, it's hidden by additional layers.

You have the option to use any gender skin with any gender character. It will change their physiology to match the skin's gender. However, clothing models will still snap to the chosen character gender. Presumably there's some way to lock clothing items to specific frames, but I have not figured out how to do this. For the time being, just don't use incongruent skins if you don't want clipping.

Some clothing mods that alter the character mesh (such as high heeled boots) will cause a human skin to pop through the furry skin. This is a conflict with those mods. I don't think I can fix it with my limited modding knowledge. All vanilla clothing works fine, though.

Thank you very much for this. The original is now updated; but may we ask for a fork of the Scalie anthro mod, as well, for those of us who prefer scales to fur? We appreciate all your hard work in patching these mods out for us! Scalie link below:

Furry Apocalypse includes the original Anthro Survivors ported to b42 (it's a little jank in the main menu). There is a Variety Pack of furry species ported to b42 too, which includes scalies, housecats, otters, insects, protogen, kitsune, avali, and a horde of OCs.

There was a Houscat Varieties mod in 41. Is there any chance it could be ported?

Any chance a variant could be made of this for the scalie anthro mod? https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2921417999&searchtext=scalie
