Keep in mind though these are not balanced for vanilla but for a particular gameplay style I enjoy in RTS'.
Also the lack of air and naval transports early is an intended weakness as their land units are very strong. It is true however on some maps, (especially ones designed for water/air combat) these guys are baddd.
Also, the faction really need an air transport since the amphibious transport can't reach all locations that have resource spots. (Due to cliffs and maybe lava.) Probably they should also have a T1 naval transport as well since being stuck on one starting island until you can afford T2 is pretty awkward on some maps.
Bit of a bug that I don't know how easily it can be fixed: rotating a train can make the cars swing out over water.
