On the distant world of Borrelia, chaos and strife have defined life for the past two thousand years. After a magical plague drove humanity to escape to Borrelia's three moons, a new people have risen to prominence. The beastmen, anthropromorfic animals who were originally created to fight those corrupted and twisted by the plague, have spread across the planet. One of these new societies on the equitorial continent of Arcadia, with the help of the humans and newly sapient AI constructs left behind on Borrelia, developed into a modern state, founding what is now the Havonian Union.
Utilizing their advanced knowledge, the Union was able to reactivate one of Borrelia's old space elevators and contact the humans that escaped to Borrelia's moons, Gaia, Riviea, and Cileo. Rather than the warm welcome they hoped to recieve, the lunar nations, save for Cileo, treated them with caution and suspision. Eventually leading to war between the Union and the Gaian Federation.
