[MTF] Oberon Assault Frigate (FF)

Description
Magnetar Technologies and Fleetworks' Oberon Class Assault Frigate is a fairly standard assault frigate that focuses on striking its targets with a variety of kinetic weapon systems. Located within the reinforced bow of the Oberon Class are two fixed artillery cannons, and sitting atop the dorsal side is an RS-300 Shortbow Magnetic Artillery Turret. A further artillery turret and assault cannon turret line each flank, along with a total of four MG-400 Atlas Light CIWS for point defense duties. A large underslung flight bridge offers the crew a large field of view during routine operation, and an armored CIC provides protection during combat duties. Oberon Class Assault Frigates are operated by crews of 31, with a captain and three shifts of ten members each.

Constructed in 2241 at the MTF naval yards above Sanctuary, Oberon Class FF-036 Song of Dusk was assigned to the border system 𝜏 Bootis for anti-piracy and peacekeeping operations. After the discovery on Sapheus in 2244, however, it was stationed at the Mila Garrison to defend the research station on the aforementioned moon.
