Descripción

Adds a new portrait set, the Daleks, from BBC's Doctor Who. I have attempted to cover both Classic and NuWho Daleks. All portraits are animated!
  • 1960s themed Daleks with the original Dalek emperor
  • Daleks led by Classic Who Davros
  • NuWho Daleks, led by the Dalek God-Emperor from Season 1 of NuWho
  • The Dalek Paradigm, everyone's favourite redesign
The NuWho Daleks also have an extra Davros portrait that won't appear ingame but can be used in a custom empire.
All sets of Daleks have multiple colour sets to show ranking and provide some variety.
Most importantly, I added the special weapons Dalek! In classic and modern flavours!

Also includes preset empires with new name lists and a couple of flags.


My Doctor Who mods started off as a desire to learn Blender, and so I set about making animated portraits for the Cybermen (my favourite of the Who villains). I wanted to make things as vanilla friendly and as light as possible, only adding the Classic and NuWho designs without being script or event heavy (for now!). After that, adding the Daleks and Sontarans seemed like an intuitive step.

Some of these portraits are integrated into ergotoxin's amazing Whoniverse Galaxy Mod, which I can't recommend enough!

Oh no, I'm sorry that's happened! To be honest I'm not super sure why they're not appearing - silly question, are you scrolling all the way to the bottom? That's usually where the custom empires seem to appear for whatever reason.
For now I've put out a little update that may reduce clashes with preset empires from other mods (literally just renaming text files) but I'm not sure what else it may be - if you're using a lot of other mods it may be worth switching some on and off to see if anything's causing a clash?

I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I can't for the life of me have the pre-made empires show up in the empire selection screen :(

Odd, briefly testing with just the Dalek Shipset and this mod enabled (with either one loading first) I'm not seeing any issues. What was breaking? Happy to work on fixing compatibility if we can work out what's wrong.

There was a clash between this and my Sontaran mod (one was built over the other) - I've changed the Sontaran mod so the Reborn Dalek Empire should now appear when running both. The Dalek Shipset doesn't seem to be playing nicely with this mod, so I've removed it from the recommended lists for now.

Broken, wont spawn as AI civilization even when set to forced spawn

The portraits don't appear in the species appearance tab for custom empires. Also the preset empire Reborn Dalek Empire that has the Emperor from NuWho doesn't appear.
