Vampire-xtermination

Description
/!\ Scenario most likely unplayable on versions other than Evolved, and probably unplayable on anything other than the PC port /!\

Difficulties are adjusted to reflect the difficulty of the humans, and not the plague's. (in other words, don't trust the difficulty descriptions before starting - Casual is harder for the plague, and Mega Brutal is easier for it).

Mega Brutal is recommended.

English is the recommended language, to avoid issues with translation. For best compatibility, restart the game prior to playing. (base-game text changing issues)

Breaking news: A vampire has been spotted in Greenland!

Reported to 'visit' unsuspecting homes, leaving them devoid of life, with corpses drained of all of their blood, only to 'turn into a bat' and fly away, it has caused nation-wide fear and global panic.

The extraterrestrial threat requires a good military lead. You have been appointed as the head of the AVO (Anti-Vampire Association) to this role and it is your job to secure the life of civilians and control the vampire's activity.

It won't be easy; the vampire is nimble and effective in combat. Modern weaponry is not fit for dealing with such a scenario, where the target becomes stronger as the confrontation goes on.

Manage your reputation, take decisions on various possibilities and events, impose governamental actions, manage a team of field operatives and strike the vampire at its core.

Additional tips:
- Field Operatives will automatically heal up at local hospitals. Healing depends on hospital quality
- The location of the HQ is important, and AVO workers are considered part of the USA's population. Make of that what you will
- Passive deaths will occur in countries where the Field Operatives are located. Consider them accidents; it's just a base game mechanic that cannot be disabled, as far as I can tell
- The cure bar on the bottom-right is the Authority bar - would have annotated it with "Authority", but the text used there is used in many other parts where "Authority" wouldn't make much sense
