While I haven't played RE Survivor, the original author's intention to keep the resource management aspect of the older RE titles as one of its core design philosophies is made clear. I personally enjoyed it as it creates a learning curve that is not seen in the current HL2 mainline RE ports, and this can be offputting for those that was a more chill and relaxing experience without having to think for everything they do.
I have played both re1 and re2 maps, I've died more on this mod alone than my first-time re1 and re2 runs combined. It can get a little frustrating at times, but I enjoyed the challenge overall. The different routes do add replayability as a nice bonus for those that want to experience everything this mod has to offer.
sadly if you die the game freezes and crashes :c
