M62 Diesel Electric Locomotive

Description
M62 Diesel-Electric Locomotive

I recommend using the highest physics setting and turning off vehicle damage! The train can be heavy on physics so I would not spawn in more than one or else the subbodies may act strange.

The M62 is a Soviet-built diesel locomotive for heavy freight trains, exported to many Eastern Bloc countries as well as to Cuba, North Korea and Mongolia. The M62 was developed and built in modern-day Ukraine by order of the USSR, to prevent Hungary from purchasing Swedish-built M61 locomotives instead. The first locomotives were ready in 1964, and production began the next year and lasted until 1990. The M62 proved to be inferior to the Swedish-built M61, being unable to haul as much weight, with less range and more fuel consumption. Despite this, the M62 continues to be very popular in many countries, such as Poland's ST44, Germany's BR 120, the Czech Class 781, and North Korea's K62. The locomotive has undergone modernizations, replacing the car body with a modernized cab and upgrading the engine. Some M62s have even been converted to electrical operation, such as in Poland and North Korea. -Wikipedia

Operating Instructions
Startup
-Enter the locomotive and head to the compartment behind the forward cab
-Turn on every switch and breaker on the two panels there, except for the DISABLE HORNS switch
-Head to the cab you want to drive from
-Near the floor, turn on the CONTROL switch first and then the FUEL PUMP switch
-On the driver's control panel, turn on the REVERSER switch and set up the interior lights if you wish
-To the right of the driver's seat, turn on the Brake Stand Cut-In key and flip on the LEAD/TRAIL switch
-Head into the engine room. On the starboard side of the locomotive are the engine controls
-On the floor, open the engine fuel valve. Use the manual pump for a few seconds to prime the engine, then hold down the starter until the engine turns over
-Now you are ready to begin driving

Cab Setup
-The cab you are driving from must have the REVERSER, CONTROL, and FUEL PUMP switches turned on, as well as the Brake Stand Cut-In key and LEAD/TRAIL switch. These controls should all be off in the opposite cab.

Operation
-The automatic brakes have 4 notches: emergency (red, full brake application), service (yellow, increases brake application), lap (white, holds current brake application) and release (green, reduces brake application). Use the arrow buttons to set the automatic brakes to release.
-Reduce the independent brake to zero with the appropriate arrow keys as well
-Next to the REVERSER flip switch, select the REVERSER arrow key that corresponds with your desired direction of travel
-Now use the MAIN CONTROLLER arrow key to increase power

The train accelerates faster and decelerates slower than usual, so keep in mind when stopping that the train will coast much further than you might expect

Changing Cabs
-Once at a stop, reduce the throttle and fully apply the independent and automatic brakes
-Turn off the REVERSER flip switch and deselect any direction buttons
-Turn off the LEAD/TRAIL and Brake Stand Cut-In
-Turn off the FUEL PUMP and CONTROL switches
-Head to the end you want to operate from and turn all of these systems back on in the desired cab

If you are operating in MU, the REVERSER, CONTROL, FUEL PUMP, LEAD/TRAIL and Brake Stand Cut-In switches should be off in any slaved locomotives. The leader should be set up as normal. There are blue electric connectors at each end and electric cables in the electrical room to MU locomotives. As a warning, there might be some issues with the reverser direction being inverted in specific MU configurations, if this happens simply select the opposite reverser setting.
