Crosshair - High Contrast Reticle

Description
WARNING: Might conflict with difficulty mods. This can be fixed by unchecking this mod, and reloading the save.

The reticle will remain enabled even after unchecking or uninstalling it. This is normal.

*TO UNINSTALL*:

1) Disable/remove the mod

2) Load any map

3) Push the tilde ("~") key to open the console, and input the following console commands:

hud_draw_fixed_reticle 0

hud_quickinfo 1

Note: If you reload a save file that had the reticle enabled, you will need to re-enter the console commands.

*This mod simply inputs a few console commands for you:

hud_draw_fixed_reticle 1

hud_quickinfo_0 (0 = off, 1 = enabled)

hud_reticle_max_alpha 255

hud_reticle_min_alpha 255

Summary:

A high-contrast crosshair made by VALVe that never got officially implemented.

This workshop entry was made to inform players of an optional, higher-contrast crosshair.

I could not find a single crosshair mod, and so we have to deal with this instead.

well uh.....this broke my game its still in the game even after uninstalling it and idk how to fix it so yeah i think i just have to live with this now....

what always bothered me about the crosshairs was that the quickinfo (and this Xbox reticle) isnt perfectly aligned with the crosshair by a few pixels

half life is too bright and ungriddy, needed something that didn't disappear when aimed at anything that isn't the ground :steamthumbsup:

An uninstallation video will be uploaded later.

If you still have the mod enabled while uninstalling, it will just overwrite the commands again.

I also recommend trying the commands while inside of a map, as reloading a save with the commands enabled might re-activate the commands.

The mod is nothing more than 4 console commands, you don't even need it installed to do what it does.

You ruined my game. No matter what command I tried, the experience never happened. I even deleted the game and reinstalled it but it didn't work. DO NOT INSTALL:steamthumbsdown:
