Description
Adds asteroids to the game that contain diamonds without being OP.

In higher tier star systems the overall number and size of the diamond asteroids will gradually increase, but they remain fairly rare and drop few diamonds to not make the mod overpowered.



I made this mod mostly because I liked the idea of a rare type of asteroid that I can run into from time to time that contains diamonds, but I didn't want these asteroids to be all over the place or to break the ingame economy or something, so the amount of diamonds that can be mined from these asteroids is going to be very low. But you will run into them from time to time, which is nice.

This mod is mostly to spice up the career mode a little bit and have a nice extra find from time to time and less about making you rich.

These asteroids consist of an above average amount of hard rocks, so you will probably need a mining laser to mine the diamonds from these asteroids.

I consider this mod to be balanced.



Each asteroid field has around 20% chance at containing at least one diamond asteroid and the asteroid belt will on average have a roughly 80% chance of containing at least 1 diamond asteroid.

@Aurora London: Iirc the diamond asteroids use their own spawner, so they should be unaffected by No Asteroids.
But they may be affected by any mod that increases/decreases the number of asteroid belts and asteroid fields.

Preliminary update to support Cosmoteer 0.30.1. This mod will no longer work with older versions due to changes to how asteroids work, it was impossible to support both simultaneously.

Fixed an issue with me having left some testing stuff in by accident for which I had used a modded resource, causing a crash for people who did not have ETTM enabled.

Identical to version 1.0.2 except version number to help prevent Cosmoteer 0.30.0a from disabling it even though the mod has no major issues due to the latest release.

Also done some prepatching to prevent the game from disabling it again in the near future.

- Made a change to the color of the overlay icon of the diamond asteroids to make them a bit easier to distinguish from other asteroids.

- Rebalances the amount of diamonds in the m, l and xxl diamond asteroids.
- Changes made to the size of diamond asteroid spawn sizes. Spawn sizes are now a bit more randomized.

Also updated supported version numbers, though this mod already worked fine with 0.28.0 anyway. Just a formal confirmation.
