Description

Colt 1851 Navy is an American revolver designed by Colt specifically for military use during the 19th century. The cartridge conversion variant utilises cartridges instead of cap and ball, an old West method of loading firearms through the muzzle. Some of the models were used in the American Civil War by Wild Bill Hickock and Ned Kelly and even General Robert E Lee. After the Civil War, In 1873 with the introduction of the famous Colt Peacemaker Colt dropped the Navy out of production.
