Since the game doesn't recognise custom sound files properly, you will also need to download this zip containing the sounds:

Google Drive Link (Click download icon at the top)[drive.google.com]

And extract the files into:
/Steam/steamapps/common/Sweet Transit/Content/
After extracting there should be 2 folders in there: trainSounds and Sounds

Added engine sounds for BR Class 55
Added whistle and engine sounds for Prussian T20

Features

New locomotive sounds for multiple models including the electrics and other new models from the Locomotive Pack DLC!

-26 locomotive whistles/horns compared to 4 of vanilla
-8 new or updated engine sounds for steam, diesel, jet, electrics, and bullet locomotives
-New train track sounds
-Increased volume of all locomotive sounds (default is very quiet even at max volume setting)

To do in the future:
-Add unique sounds for bullet trains. For now they use the jet locomotive horn
-Add more unique jet locomotive horns

*About old Sweet Transit mods on Steam*

It's not recommended to download anything old (uploaded before Apr 2024) and unsupported.

Any workshop mods that were uploaded before the game's 1.0 release on Apr 2024 were made for the early access version and may break the game in hidden ways. You may not be able to unlock certain buildings or load some types of goods.

Did you get the pop up window after it crashed? Press locate crash file and see what it says
Otherwise check in this folder: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Sweet Transit\Crashes

For some reason, after I've added the sounds, this mod is crashing the game on startup. Any ideas on what was wrong?
