Description
Original mod https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3267306459

This simply fixes an error I was experiencing when using with Susceptible Overhaul.

UPDATE: Sir Doggy Jvla has discontinued support for "Susceptible Overhaul". I've added the add-on to remove the susceptible trait so this patch can be used alongside "Susceptible Trait - Airborne Infection" by Mr.Sunshine. If Sir Doggy Jvla wants me to remove this I will. This add-on is completely optional, it's just to maintain some difficulty (removing free trait points) while not being dependent on the old mod.

thanks, i ended up going with yours for continuity

@Syn that depends. If you're using the mod included with SOverhaul it will have Mod ID: Susceptible_Overhaul_NoSusceptibleTrait....if you run that you do not need to load this mods version they would overlap.

is the no suscept trait needed if im running the overhaul version of no susceptable

glad to hear thanks for reporting back with your findings.

Just a follow up, "4" seems to be a good value :)
At first the infection/gas icon didn't change to show Susceptible - but I remembered that corpses you manually move no longer count as infectious (nice to know that works retroactively!) so I found some old corpses, walked over to them.. and boom - about 1.5-2 tile range away it is infectious. Seems good! And no error, as far as I can tell. I thought there was at first - but it was this new Weather Damage mod that I was testing also that came out recently.

It mentions 1-100 range and that "2 is half of live zombie radius" but it doesn't say whether lower or higher is even shorter radius. Maybe it's obvious and I'm just dumb (very likely), but I'll just set it to 4 and try it out. Ideally yeah I'd like it to be something where you have to be real close for the corpse to count so it's not too oppressive.

I advise testing locally and then adding to your save.

@marshmallow I'd assume that less than 2 would be a lower range and up to 100 would increase it? I apologize but I'm not 100% on that. Let me know if there's any issues with it.

If you want corpses to have an infection chance then yes this is still needed. AFAIK the original still throws errors when approaching the proximity of a corpse.

Ic ic, yeah I did see your comments on the original mod page and looked at the error. I backed up my save and added your (this) mod fix version so here's hoping.

Love the idea of it - it makes a lot of sense for, ya know, the corpse of the infectious zombie to also be contagious :lunar2019coolpig: though I did nerf the hours duration a lot.

Do you know whether the 'corpse infection distance divisor' value is higher or lower for nerfing? like uhh, I assume it means the radius of the infectious corpse, so if I want it to only be 1-2 tiles of infection range, I should put the number up?
