🏥 Multi-Doctor Surgery Mod
Enhance your medical operations with a coordinated team of doctors!

This mod transforms surgeries into true team efforts by allowing you to assign multiple doctors to assist a lead surgeon. Enjoy boosted efficiency thanks to the coordinated support from your medical staff.

⚙️ Features
Multi-Doctor Surgery: Add assisting doctors who actively support the lead surgeon during operations, providing crucial help.
Customizable Speed Multiplier: Set a speed bonus per assisting doctor to help surgeries go faster.
Success Rate Multiplier: Increase the success chances of surgeries by assigning skilled assistants to minimize risks.
Max Doctor Limit Configuration: Control the maximum number of doctors assignable to each surgery.
Live Doctor Management: Easily change medical roles using an intuitive interface.
Exclusion List for Operations: Choose specific operations to exclude from the multi-doctor system, allowing them to use the basic game system instead.
(BETA) Fast surgery team: You can now, if you wish, designate a default primary surgeon and their assistants for quick operations without having to open a menu each time; this way, whenever you create a new surgical invoice, these team members will be automatically assigned. Available in the update of 07/14/2025

🔧 Settings
The mod includes adjustable settings in the options menu, allowing you to control:

The speed multiplier per doctor
The success rate multiplier per doctor
The maximum number of assignable doctors per surgery
The maximum success limit for the surgeon
The maximum speed limit for surgery
Customize which operations use the default game system instead of the multi-doctor system, accessible in the Excluded Operations menu.
Note: For optimal performance, try different settings based on the complexity of your colony’s surgical needs.

Subscribe to the mod and to Harmony.
Activate the mod.
Adjust the settings to your preference in RimWorld’s options menu.

Safe to remove.
Tested with a modpack of around 200 mods, so stable in large modpacks

❌ Incompatibility
Colony Groups: Error when confirming the creation of the operation.Fix in the update of 06/04/2025
Hospital: An error when a guest requesting an operation arrives because the operation bill has already been created without going through the Multi-Doctor Surgery interface to find out which surgeons and assistant doctors to choose. Temporary fix 06/06/2025 : using of basic surgery method for avoid the error

🛠️known bug that will be solved
  • Problem when two surgeons call an assistant assigned to two operations at the same time (just causes a visual problem with the colon who is not there on one of the two operations but the operation goes ahead without a problem).
  • A bug that causes the size of some assistant doctors and/or surgeons to increase during the operation and remain so afterwards. For the moment I've only reproduced the bug with Big & Small genes mod. Bug fix in the update of 11/12/2024

@nobody73 I'm not sure I understand, but if you're asking whether someone can be both a surgeon and an assistant, no. Whether they're a mechanoid or a human.

@Microsoft Word If you are referring to the total success rate displayed on the UI, this is the total success rate that will be applied to the lead doctor, not the total success rate of the operation. Basically, a surgeon with a medical skill level of 10 to 90% has a chance of success, but this is combined with other factors such as the medication used, the cleanliness of the room and the medical equipment used. For the test, I performed four organ recovery operations with a standard bed in a non-sterile room with a 90% success rate displayed for the surgeon, and he failed 3 out of 4 times.
It is possible for a doctor to have a success rate higher than 100%, so it is normal to be able to exceed this.

in base game, harvesting an organ is about 23% success chance
in this mod, harvesting an organ is a 94% success for some reason, and that's WITHOUT the assistant doctors, which would bring the chance up to 113%. i don't know whats causing this, thought i assume it's unintentional?
