伦敦号(HMS-London)是伦敦级重巡洋舰的首舰，是根据1925年计划作为肯特级改进型建造的英国海军第二批条约型巡洋舰，下水时武器装备和防护装甲与肯特级基本相同。在1938年至1941年的改装之际,其侧舷装甲加厚至114毫米,更新并扩大了舰桥建筑物,设置了前后三脚桅，更改为双烟囱，第1号烟囱两侧新设了机库，更改了航空设备，强化了防空武器，外形上变得接近斐济级轻巡洋舰。
HMS-London was the first ship of the London class heavy cruisers, and was the second batch of Treaty cruisers built as an improved version of the Kent class according to the 1925 plan. When launched, the weapons, equipment, and protective armor were basically the same as those of the Kent class. During the refit from 1938 to 1941, its side armor was thickened to 114 millimeters, the bridge building was updated and expanded, front and rear three masts were installed, it was changed to a double chimney, hangars were newly built on both sides of the first chimney, aviation equipment was modified, anti-aircraft weapons were strengthened, and its appearance became similar to that of a Fiji class light cruiser.
