Vanilla Weapon Overhaul

Description
Have you ever wished that the vanilla weapons were better then they are? Now they are with Vanilla Weapon Overhaul!

The aim of VWO is to Rework the vanilla weapons to make them more useful and fun to use, as well as hopefully bring them more in line with modded weapons.

Features:

Increased Range for:
  • Railgun: Large grid 5km/Small grid 1.5km
  • Artillery Turret/Cannon: 3km
  • Assault Cannon/turret: 2km
  • Rocket Turret/Launcher:Large grid 4km/Small grid 1.5km
  • Autocannon Turret/Cannon: 1km

Decreased bounding box for:
  • Large grid Gattling Turret/Type II
  • Large grid Rocket Turret/Type II
  • Small grid Assault Cannon turret
  • Autocannon Turret

Increased durability for large grid weapons

Increased damage output for large grid weapons

And more!!!


Planed Features:

Possible Vanilla + integration (got to learn how V+ works First)

Custom sounds for select weapons

Increased locking range (might make as separate mod)

Thanks! Hopefully I can figure it out. This game is stupidly hard to mod. If I end up having to removing the bounding box changes I'm going to make it a sub mod for people that like that feature. So it wont be gone entirely, but hopefully it wont come to that.

Damn. Rooting for you! I absolutely love the bounding boxes being so small. Let's me get really creative with weapons design!

@Jeff11 no its not. I'm aware of the problem and am trying to find a way to fix it but so far i haven't. the problem comes from the changes to bounding boxs. If i can't fine a way to fix it then im going to remove the bounding box changes.

Is this mod supposed to disconnect all large grid gatling/missile turrets that were placed before installing this mod? It's affecting everything - from ships I had spawned to new ships I paste in, to all (vanilla) Ai.
The weapons become fully disconnected upon loading the world and are neither functional nor registering as part of the ship anymore. If I replace them afterwards then everything works as intended -- which is fine -- except for can't do that with Ai.

Large grid and small grid rocket in this mod pack do not use the same ammo.

This mod gives small grid rocket launchers a custom separate ammo type.
