Ocean Freezes Over

Description
The Ocean will now freeze over during winter.

On day 1 of winter, the Coastal Shore and the Waterlog Biome. On day 2, the Coastal and the Brinepool Biome. On day 3, the Swell Ocean biome. On day 4, the Rough Ocean Biome. On day 5, the Hazardous biome. They will unfreeze in reverse order as winter ends.

The world will freeze 10 tiles per second. And the Ice Floe will only spawn if there are players within the screen distance of 10 tiles.

Boats will block the Ocean Ice tiles from spawning. But they'll still get stuck.

Creature that are left on the ice when the ocean unfreezes will reappear on the shore.

Hey Nico I've been seeing that too. Unfortunately those visuals are on the side of the engine, as opposed to the side of Lua where you can mod them. I'll keep my eye out for possible solutions but right now I don't have any good ideas.

Anyone got a strange visual glitch that seeing the transition between ice and terrain as straight line cut like minecraft? (´・ω・｀)

There is a bug during the game that Ice replaces the docks with ice, after the ice melts they remain as ice and not as docks (but they do not destroy)

the surroundings of the winter island from the winterlands mod also freeze to ice floa, even though its already frozen

hey guys ive added the configuration for the speed which go between 20 to 1000. on my own laptop the game starts lagging when i turn the speed up to 200 tiles per second. i've set the default to 50 per second.

Hey, I don't vvant to impose, but could you add a config setting to increase the freezing rate? Maybe a setting to make the ocean freezing over instant and global? I vvant to have a frozen-over endless vvinter vvorld vvhere you need to VVALK over the ocean to reach nevv biomes, and the ice isn't freezing fast enough for that

Thanks for your feedback, I will try it for my next save, we have plan a neverending nightmare with only summer (who is like DST summer + raining sometime but rarely, and with some effect of spring like the aggresive bee), en Winter (with rain too so sever cold in view).

+ This mod, it will be fun x)
