Horseshoe Curve Contemporary
10 items
Description
Norfolk Southern year 2012 on Horseshoe Curve.
On an early morning in the fall, travel from Johnstown to Altoona aboard the Amtrak Pennsylvanian.
Player AI: P42DC

For this collection of 10 scenarios, I have added or blocked a lot of cars, to make the route more contemporary. I have added more trees; and covered some sidings with grass where appropriate.
I have also used a few Norfolk Southern locomotives. See the DLC list below.

Do NOT need Southampton-Salisbury Extension!

Best if played from under the 'Standard' scenario Tab not Workshop.

Route: Horseshoe Curve
Duration: 58 minutes Difficulty: Medium
Scenario: Standard

Extra DLC (Developer & Loco pack):
ACTIVE
And for the Amtrak Pennsylvanian:
RSC: P42DC (locomotive)
DTG: Amtrak HHP-8 (Amfleet cars)
Freight
TheLocoShop: EMD SD60E
RSC: SW1500 Switcher
RSC: EMD GP9
DTG: GP40-2
DTM: SD45

US Loco & Asset Pack
European Loco & Asset Pack

I hope you enjoy it.

Please let me know what you think of the scenario.

Hi arktiem,
This route when it was originally released, was so much fun weaving up and down.
I remember one scenario when fireworks went off at Horseshoe Curve. Very well done. I think 4 trains stop for them.
Thanks again for the kind words. It is spring so I have a new lease on life. On to the 5th scenario.....

Hi blacey4,
Great you had fun overtaking the slower traffic, and that you are enjoying this collection.
Thank again for leaving some feedback.

Well... all I can say is, WOW! That was a lot of fun! I'm not really a passenger guy, but I'll always run your passenger scenarios and this one was stupendous! The traffic was phenomenal and really gripping as you weaved your way through and around it all. Your skills are just incredible, my friend. You really made me feel a whole lot better and I thank you... a thousand times, thank you. Hope you and the family are doing great and are enjoying Spring. Take care, be safe and, as always, onto the next one! :choo::chooo::choooo:

Another great run in this HSC scenario series. Very effective AI traffic. Enjoyed overtaking all those slower freight trains. Two thumbs up and thanks for sharing.

Great you enjoyed it so much Sir crlynch. Thanks for the very positive feedback.
I'm almost thinking of doing a proper updating of the actual route; as I did with the Doncaster works route. That one I back dated to look and feel 'older'. This would be removing tracks and coal/water towers etc to modernise it.
The only drawback is the length of time my other one took to get enough ratings so it could be 'Final' (allowing scenario publishing on it). I am NOT that young anymore ha ha!
I will complete this collection and see how I feel about it. See ya.
