Description
Norfolk Southern year 2012 on Horseshoe Curve.
On an early morning in the fall, travel from Altoona with an intermodal to Johnstown.
Player AI: EMD SD60E

For this collection of 10 scenarios, I have added or blocked a lot of cars, to make the route more contemporary. I have added more trees; and covered some sidings with grass where appropriate.
I have also used a few Norfolk Southern locomotives. See the DLC list below.

Do NOT need Southampton-Salisbury Extension!

Best if played from under the 'Standard' scenario Tab not Workshop.

Route: Horseshoe Curve
Duration: 70 minutes Difficulty: Medium
Scenario: Standard

Extra DLC (Developer & Loco pack):
ACTIVE
TheLocoShop: EMD SD60E
RSC: SW1500 Switcher
RSC: EMD GP9
DTG: GP40-2
DTM: SD45
And for The Pennsylvanian:
RSC: P42DC (locomotive)
DTG: Amtrak HHP-8 (Amfleet cars)

US Loco & Asset Pack
European Loco & Asset Pack

I hope you enjoy it.

Please let me know what you think of the scenario.

I can understand totally the 'feel/sound' of brakes to an ex driver.
Great you enjoyed the run anyway robmerlo.
Cheers

Hello arktiem.
Great you feel a little better - and a lot better emotionally ha ha.
It is not surprising the big difference it can make, if the age of the props are altered backwards or forwards in time, to help the 'feel' of a scenario. I used to do it a lot for my needs, then realised I could do it a lot more seriously and use it for a collection.
To be worthwhile, I decided it was best to use one scenario to upgrade the complete route, and then clone the scenario for the collection.
Most routes do NOT allow adding or changing too much, but I can add as much as I like to this route, and it is fine. Example: the winter one needed a few bushes near some rock outcrops, as the rocks were just too stark and white (not quite realistic). They looked fine in autumn. I am now working on the 5th in the collection.
I was an artist/technical illustrator in my past, so it is like I am painting or airbrushing.
Regards and have fun.

Hey there, my friend. Thank you for your warm wishes... they meant a lot! Physically, I am still not doing so hot, but at least the queasy stomach stopped. Emotionally? I am feeling soooo much better after running the first in this series. It was excellent! The SD60E has the power needed for hauling large loads, but it also has great dynamic breaks, so you always feel in control. It's funny... I have run other scenarios using modern equipment on the Horseshoe, but it never felt right. This is the first one that felt oh so right. The additions and changes you implemented, subtle as they are, made all the difference. Great work, my friend. And so... thank you so very much for everything and onto the next one! :choo::chooo::choooo:

Hello blacey4.
I've only just bought the SD60E. I think it is a great locomotive. The sound of the cars that come with it is excellent. I am pleased you were able to enjoy this route again (me too). It has been a few years since I did.
Thank you for your feedback.
