Submarine Vesikko

The CV-707 Vesikko was a Finnish submarine, built in the 1930s as part of Finland's naval fleet. It was a prototype for Germany's later U-boat designs during World War II. Vesikko played a crucial role in Finland's naval operations during the Winter War and Continuation War against the Soviet Union. Though relatively small, with a length of about 40 meters, Vesikko was armed with torpedoes and naval mines. Today, Vesikko serves as a museum ship on Suomenlinna island.
