Designed and built by Spiff's Practical Engineered Solutions for the Weyland-Yutani Corporation, the S-412 Salvager is a medium-capacity salvage ship that operates equally well in space or on low-gravity moons, and even operates on planets although with reduced capacity (see below). Equipped with 4 large cargo containers, 1 medium cargo container, and 12 Nanobot Build & Repair Systems, the S-412 Salvager will quickly render derelict ships and stations into parts for transport. A railgun serves as both a defensive and offensive weapon, turning active ships and stations into derelicts destined for scrap. An integrated projector makes drydock repairs easy. MMaster's Automatic LCDs 2 script is utilized if Ingame Scripts is enabled in advanced game settings.

An optional "tunneler attachment" projector is included to project and build a tunneler attachment; instructions are given below. Because the tunneler attaches to a conveyor port, the S-412 and its tunneler attachment may also be used as an ad hoc mining ship; ore/ice is collected and waste stone is automatically ejected. The tunneler requires the Signals DLC because girders are used for the guide frame.

NOTES FOR BUILDING THE SHIP WITH A PROJECTOR IN SURVIVAL
(See the two pictures for the ship projector's configuration.)
1. Build a small-grid projector on a rotor frame configured with a small-grid rotor head that's located on a powered grid; use one or more armor blocks between the small-grid rotor head and projector to provide sufficient vertical clearance for building the blueprint.
2. For consistency, rename the projector to be "S412 - Projector".
3. Load the blueprint into the projector; click on the setting to retain the blueprint after construction is complete for future repairs.
4. Build the blueprint.
5. When completed, grind away the armor block spacer(s), the rotor frame, and small-grid rotor head, leaving the projector in place.

NOTES FOR BUILDING THE TUNNELER ATTACHMENT WITH A PROJECTOR IN SURVIVAL
(See the pictures for the projection/build process.)
1. Locate and remove the "light armor slope 2x1x1 tip" and adjoining "air vent" on top of the cockpit.
2. Enter the ship's cockpit and use {Ctrl}-{3} to change to the ship's third cockpit menu, then select {1} to turn on the tunneler attachment projector.
3. Build the blueprint.
4. At an appropriate location in the planet, moon, or asteroid, install a line of armor guide blocks/scaffolds set one row above the desired floor level to tunnel in a straight line; the wheel suspensions will maintain alignment with the armor guide blocks.
5. Enter the ship's cockpit and use {Ctrl}-{3} to change to the ship's third cockpit menu, then select {2} for the drills.
6. Align the ship over the armor guide blocks/scaffolds, then lower the ship until it fully engages the guide blocks.
7. Right-click the mouse to tunnel; left-click will drill and collect ore. When tunneling, the drills will clear a tunnel with its bottom surface approximately 1/2 meter below the guide blocks.
8. When tunneling is complete, remove the guide blocks.
