Bringing the Collapse

Description
This mod will make the game ignore cult centres owned by invader factions and factions participating in a civil war, when calculating pillars of civilisation

Why I made this mod:
Seems since Dynasties update, changes to Sea Peoples has resulted in collapse not happening as much. One such observation was that, now that they occupy lands - any invader who occupies a Pillar of Civilisation, will still contribute to the civilisation level.

I can't fix AI - but what I can do Is make sure these invaders are not treated as pillars of civilisation!

What I did:
I tweaked the function that calculates pillars of civilisation. Before it used to just check that there was a building at full health and provided points equal to its level.

Now it will also check to see if the building is owned by one of the factions in the image above. If they are an owner, the check fails and that building will not get added to the calculations.

After playtesting the mod, I realised this still wasn't enough - so I made a tweak to also exclude factions in a civil war. This really spices up the campaign, encouraging players to avoid civil wars and gives you a reason to lend legitimacy to other royal traditions to help them avoid civil wars!

Compatibility:
This mod has overwritten a function in the pillars script (but remotely) so any mod that edits this specific function, or drastically changes the base script, will likely conflict.

Future plans:
I'll be honest - I'm not likely going to do much more. I'm not an AI modder so will not be looking to make them raze more etc. I may consider looking at other things that could impact civilisation outside of the usual stuff - but its quite a big project and not sure if it's something I want to take on.

Excellent. Eager to give the mod a try. ;)

Yup, they count!

Do Sherden and Peleset count as Sea People...? Or is it just the non-playable invaders?

This mod is a great idea. For my Ramesses campaign I was either in crisis or prosperity, but for my Irsu campaign, despite me going for cult centers and razing them I never managed to get into the crisis tier let alone in the collapse one.

This is such a cool idea for the mod!

Is this compatible with Radious?

Correct, also worth noting that it's only factions actively participating in the war stop contributing. Non-invader Factions just chilling with a cult centre, letting everyone else fight for the crown, still contribute to prosperity during a civil war.

Interesting idea with civil war affecting collapse. I assume once the civil war is over, they revert back to contributing to prosperity?

and updated! It's a good one. You will be swinging into collapse much more often as civil wars bring chaos to the lands!

I actually had a better idea that I want to implement: civil war participants get ignored from the calculations. I think that alone should see the swing into the various maat states and not need us to ignore Irsu. IF the player wants to play as irsu the destroyer, they can still raze settlements :)
