Play Iden Versio's campaign and hone your skills in the Arcade

We encourage newcomers to get to grips with the game at their own pace before jumping into multiplayer battles. And there's no better way to do that than by playing through the gripping story campaign of Star Wars Battlefront II.

You play as Iden Versio, commander of the Imperial Inferno Squad. The campaign follows the events following the destruction of the Death Star. Iden Versio is equally deadly as a soldier or at the controls of a starfighter. As you experience her story through a series of missions, you'll travel to exotic planets and visit the most remote corners of the galaxy.

Which network modes to start with
Star Wars Battlefront II has plenty of single-player options, but there are more multiplayer modes. Start with smaller, single-target battles to get the hang of the mechanics of playing with other players.

In Blast, each team tries to be the first to get 100 kills in a single round of fast-paced combat in a small area. That's it, no objectives, just fighting the enemy. It's a great way to get to know the different classes of soldiers — Officer, Specialist, Assault, and Heavy — without the need for heroes or vehicles.

"Galactic Battle"
Having gained experience in the above modes, you can confidently enter the battlefield of the "Galactic Battle". Here, all sorts of game mechanics are revealed in several stages of a large-scale battle with various combat objectives.

Forty players are drawn into combat on iconic planets from three different eras of Star Wars. Each of them starts as a soldier of their chosen class, summons thugs, pilots ground and air vehicles, and strives to take on the role of a powerful hero - all in the course of a single battle.

This mode embodies all the features of Star Wars Battlefront II multiplayer.

Your Collection - All the units at your fingertips

Now you've tried every role - from the Rebel soldier to Darth Maul's starship, the Sword. The more you play with the units, the more powerful they become.

They can all be found in the Collection tab of the main menu. Here, you can spend skill points to unlock new abilities via Star Cards, making your soldiers, thugs, heroes, vehicles, and starfighters even more effective in battle.

In the collection, you can also unlock skins for your troopers and heroes using credits, which you earn as you play, or crystals, which you can purchase with money. Find skins inspired by Solo: A Star Wars Story and many more, including human and non-human trooper skins
To buy or not to buy?

Star Wars: Battlefront 2-Rangsystem
Getting ranks in the game depends entirely on the time you spend in it. In this way, it is similar to Battlefield and Call of Duty.

However, getting new ranks will not unlock new equipment for classes. Because of this, after reaching a certain threshold, it stops meaning anything. You ask: "What threshold?" The thing is that your rank affects how much you can improve your star cards.

For example, at level ten, you can upgrade cards to green, which will increase its characteristics. Then, level fifteen and blue cards, and at twentieth, you can upgrade cards to the final - purple level.

For each new level you reach, a reward is given.
Unlocking and Customizing Weapons
In addition to the profile rank, you can also increase the level of your soldiers, heroes and spaceships.

But you need to understand that playing for a certain class will not increase its level in any way. Only the progress of your discovery of new weapons will depend on this.

Each weapon is unlocked after reaching a certain number of kills with this class. At the beginning, you are given only one weapon. The rest are unlocked only after 50-500 kills.

You can also increase the effectiveness of weapons by creating modifications for them. However, they are tied to certain challenges that you will have to complete.
What is a map level?
Each class of soldiers, starships, armor, and heroes in Star Wars: Battlefront 2 has its own card level.

The card level is calculated based on the number of Star Cards you have unlocked for that class and their rarity (common, green, blue, and purple). So you will need to collect cards for the classes/heroes.

The level of your cards is important because it controls the number of Star Cards you can use for that class to upgrade it and add new abilities. At first, you can only use one, at level five you can use two, and at level ten you will unlock the third and final slot.

To summarize this chapter. If you, say, get four rare Officer cards from a crate, that class will immediately get a big level boost. This means that it does not matter whether you play a certain class or not. Whichever class you get Star Cards for is the one that will get the boost.
What are Star Cards and How to Earn Them?
Star Cards are the lifeblood of Battlefront 2. You can earn them by opening cases, which are purchased with either in-game credits or crystals, which are purchased with real currency.

You can also craft the cards you want using parts. They will also be needed to increase the rarity of your card, if the level of the card and your profile allows it.

Parts cannot be bought. They can be obtained either from cases or by completing missions in different modes.

There are two types of Star Cards: ability cards and booster cards. Booster cards exist for all classes, armored vehicles, and starships. But ability cards are available only for the four main infantry classes.

Booster cards, as you might guess, raise various characteristics of the character and his abilities. The higher the rarity, the greater the bonus will be available to you.

Ability cards can either replace your abilities with improved ones, or completely new ones. You will have to make a choice which one is more useful to you and which one does not provide any special advantages, so choose wisely.
A few more things to know
Some of the heroes available to you in the game will be locked. To unlock them for play, you will have to spend a fair amount of in-game credits. For example, Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker initially cost 60,000 credits, but after a wave of indignation from players, the price was reduced to 15,000. Who knows, maybe tomorrow the price will drop to a reasonable level.

The cheapest hero is Iden Versio, who costs 5,000 credits. You can get Star Cards for heroes from cases, but they will gather dust until the case is opened. However, the cards will remain in the characters' inventory until they are opened.

Cases

There are three types of cases available in the game: a fighter's box, a starfighter's box, and a hero's box. But the type of case guarantees only one or two cards for characters or starships. For example, when buying a hero case, you will only get one or two cards for them, and the rest can be for infantry or starships.

At the moment, the cheapest is the hero's box. Then comes the starfighter's box, and the most expensive is the fighter's box. It is better to spend the first credits on a starship case. Even if you do not play modes associated with them, you will still get a lot of star cards. And since there is nowhere else to spend credits, you can buy several cases at once.
