Distant Gunfire Reimplemented - Vanilla

Description
UPDATE: After extensive testing and research, it turned out that this mod does not fully work on official servers—only certain weapons function online. I apologize for misleading people earlier.

Reimplementation of L4D1-style distance-based gunfire sounds. Vanilla version. All weapons except for the Silenced SMG, Grenade Launcher, and Minigun are affected.

Works out of the box simply by subscribing, with no manual installation required.

Due to the way this mess is organized, it only works on official maps, but creating patches for any custom campaign should be simple enough, by adding the following at the top of the map’s soundscript:
#include "distant_gunfire_soundscript.txt"

FAQ
Q: Does this work on official servers?
A: No, only some weapons' distant gunfire works online
Q: Is it compatible with custom gunfire sounds?
A: Sadly no, the sounds need to be made in a specific way
Q: Wasn't this feature already present in L4D2?
A: It was in L4D1, but Valve got rid of it in L4D2

Special thanks to Paperweight and Andrush
And thank you guys for the support

@T626 Yeah, unfortunately

@Rowa Then I'm assuming that that also applies to this mod, https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1892628779 . Right?

Good mod, sadly, conflicts with weapon sound mods, you must use vanilla default weapons to this to work properly.

@Hack007™ Because both of our mods edits level soundscripts. It also incompatible with mods that change music

Please help me answer why this mod (https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3187167192) conflicts with your mod?

@Caliber And the in-game Workshop menu doesn’t show them as conflicting, right? To add to the confusion, if you create a custom campaign game, you’d hear your custom sounds again. Yeah, it’s a mess, sorry

I thought my game was broken because it kept using the default gun sounds, even with the modded ones. It drove me crazy, but later I found out it was caused by this. Silly me.
