Roman Culture


0.This MOD completely remade the cultures of the Roman Empire, modified the popular extinct culture - Roman culture in all aspects, added Roman sub-cultures such as Illyria, Gaul, Britannia, and adapted them with a series of gameplay functions of Byzantine Greek culture.

1.This mod removes the traditions in Roman culture that are not true, and creates a new tradition - "True Romans". "True Romans" is a comprehensive revival of Roman culture, aiming to restore the strength of classical Rome. Cultures of Latin heritage can rebuild this tradition at the cost of huge amounts of prestige.

2.Roman culture automatically unlocks multiple innovations at the start of three bookmarks. Restored most of the features unlocked by Greek culture to Roman culture. Restored some decisions for Roman culture that were available to Greek culture, but should have been available to Roman culture.

3.This MOD designs an "Imperial Heritage" and then incorporates Roman and its derivative cultures (of course, including Byzantine Greek culture) into it., while the vanilla Latin heritage is transformed into Christian Latin heritage, which is also a historical distinction. It increased the cultural acceptance baseline so that the medieval Greeks will not be as hostile to Roman culture as in the game.



Roman Decisions


4.The holder of Italia Empire title can reclaim the Western Roman Empire through the decision, continue to complete all the affairs of the vanilla Italian Empire as the orthodox Western Roman Empire, rebuild the administrative system of the Western Roman Empire at a lower cost, and unlock many functions that only Byzantium can use in the vanilla game.

5.The Western Roman Empire has a historically accurate dynastic bloodline, The Western Roman Empire, the Eastern Roman Empire and the Roman Empire can now restore the "Trajan's Borders" through a new decision. The Western Roman Empire can use the legend seed of Roman Heritage.

6.The Western Roman Empire cannot abolish the Eastern Roman Empire. The two empires prove each other's de jure principles. Now Romans in the Roman Empire or Western Rome can abolish the East-West division and unify the Empire by a new decision, no longer requiring the old pretenders decision.

7.Non-Roman characters can convert to Roman culture by proving their Roman ties through decisions while holding any of the titles Western Roman Empire, Eastern Roman Empire, or the Roman Empire.

8.Characters can restore worship of the Pantheon by decision while holding any of the Western Roman Empire, Eastern Roman Empire, or Roman Empire titles. There is a moderate option for the organized Imperial Pantheon, which has a powerful doctrine by default, and a radical option for the pagan Roman Pantheon, which unlocks the household god doctrines that are enhanced by this mod, without the need for the silly " Accurate Restore".

10.Four new Roman arms have been added (see Figure 4 for details), which mainly focus on restoring the characteristics of the late Western Roman Empire and giving Roman culture more strategic options. The data has been adjusted and will not destroy the balance.

11.Added Roman Dynasty Track. Romans and cultures that have Imperial Heritage can use this. Use the dynasty perk with a strong sense of historical immersion to add luster to your Roman life! Roman Dynasty Track carefully considers the stage and balance of the game. For example, Roman players who choose to start the game in the Christian Latin region can use the first perk to solve urgent problems.

12.This MOD fixes the Romans' free identity. Now Romans can freely choose to restore the Roman Empire as the ruler of Eastern Empire or the ruler of Western Empire. The former was also a good choice for the old Romans living in Constantinople.

13.The Romans now had their own titles and no longer followed the system after the military district reform. The Roman culture has the correct clothing and interface style. Also, when creating a Roman culture character, random family names now have more Roman family names, and Greek family names will no longer appear.



Roman Pantheon


14.Please put “more tenet series” MODs after this MOD. This mod adds the true Roman Pantheon faith, fixing all the confusion based on historical facts and game mechanics.
Greek polytheism is not a pantheon, the Greeks and Romans did not have the same gods, but the Romans absorbed the Greek gods and added them to their extremely large pantheon. The Romans would accept various customs, rituals and myths, but they did not particularly care about the origins of these customs and myths. The Romans were most concerned about whether the gods were pleased, focusing on religious practice and appeasing the gods, rather than who the so-called gods were. The Romans believed that the power of a certain god could be summoned by certain people in certain places through certain actions. This is why some Roman prayers began with “To the god or goddess located here…” Therefore, the universality and openness of the Pantheon are unmatched by Greek polytheism.
Now the "hard mode" of Byzantium rebuilding the Roman Empire will convert you to the historically correct Roman Pantheon. The Vanilla "Household God" tenet had very poor historical lore, and its effects had almost nothing to do with its description. Now, many of the historically accurate buffs of the "Household God" tenet have been added to the "Pantheon" tenet that the Roman Pantheon has by default. The "House God" itself has been specialized into a tenet that only just serves gameplay, and no longer has a strong compulsion to play historical roles.



Roman City


15.Now the Colosseum has been changed to the Rome City Ruins and has a total of four levels of upgrades. You can work hard to rebuild Rome to gain huge benefits. But beware, maintaining a sprawling city comes at a cost.
16. True Roman tradition allows players to build a new duchy building: Roman Forum, which focuses on offsetting the high military maintenance costs of high-level Roman city special buildings and providing legitimacy and influence.
17. The Aurelian Walls can now be expanded to the exact same level as the Theodosian Walls.

作者我要吐槽一个东西 领地的任命继承制这个能改一下吗 这个原版就是欢呼会自动把某些领地给玩家 行政麻烦一批还得分封出去 最讨厌的是玩家高属性的儿子或者配偶经常被莫名其妙继承到哪去了 行政制剥也不好剥

Hello! I’ve really wanted to play as the Western Roman Empire with a reworked culture similar to what Roads to Power did for Byzantium, and I came across your mod — amazing work!

I tried playing and I have a question: you added the decision to restore "Trajan’s Borders," which makes the former Roman territories de jure. In the game it’s possible to include any number of controlled empires when forming the Roman Empire. However, as far as I can tell, you didn’t add an option to restore the borders of the Western Roman Empire (Honorius), similar to how Byzantium has the Theodosian Borders. Meaning — gaining France, Spain, the western part of North Africa, and England as de jure territory.

Did you intentionally leave that out, or was it simply not a focus? Would it be difficult to implement such a decision? Are you still actively maintaining the mod?

Hi, well, for my mod set at least, the incompatibility was with Battle Graphics, even though I loaded this last, it was still problematic. Works fine with my other 58 mods though.

Hi, looking forward to getting this working. I'm seeing the same problem as @dumvery and I have this as the last mod in my list. If I only load this mod, it comes up as described above. So some sort of conflict even when this is at the bottom. I'll report back if I figure out what it is.
