City Development: Capital Expansion for Stellaris

Description:

Transform your capital into the beating heart of your empire! This mod allows you to gradually expand and specialize your capital city over decades, focusing on areas such as administration, labor, energy, minerals, science, housing, population growth, and more. Through a unique event chain, you can make strategic decisions that shape the development of your capital, enhancing its efficiency and strength.

Features:

-Long-term Development: New events will appear every few years, offering you choices on how to further develop your capital. Make wise decisions to determine the direction of your progress!

-Specialization Options: Adapt your capital to the needs of your empire by focusing on administration, job creation, energy production, mineral extraction, science, housing, and population growth.

-Continuous Improvements: Each decision leads to permanent enhancements of your capital, allowing you to further optimize it and adapt to the changing challenges of the game.

- Event Chains are Player-only (works with multiplayer)

-Compatibility: This mod is designed to be compatible with most other Stellaris mods, making it easy to integrate into your games ( you have to start a new game for the events to trigger ).

Why This Mod?

This mod introduces an immersive and deep event chain that enriches your gameplay by emphasizing strategic decisions. The gradual development of your capital allows you to create a central hub in your empire that can significantly influence the course of the game.

Compatibility:

-Tested with the latest versions of Stellaris.
-No changes to the game files or other mechanics that could cause incompatibilities with other mods.
-No additional DLCs required, but fully compatible if present.

Installation:

1.Subscribe to the mod on the Steam Workshop.
2.Enable the mod in the Stellaris launcher.
3. start a new game (doesnt work with old saves; you can still play them without any problem, but the Event chain wont start.)
3.The Event chain starts around year 2211
4.Enjoy the new depth and possibilities your capital city offers!
5.Dive into the ongoing story of your capital and shape the fate of your empire in a whole new way. Enjoy building, optimizing, and ruling!

I am working on a heavily updated version that is hopefully more flexible and allows the player to switch capitals without losing all of the benefits of those planetary deposits. I also plan to make it resistant to planet terraforming since deposits are removed on terraform. It will also allow you to develop past the current event chain as an event will have a 1/20 chance of activating every year (in-line with how the mod currently works). Further, the current event system has over 44 thousand lines, I am reducing that by over 100 times which should make the whole thing a lot more efficient.

@Fullmoon. this is late. But yes it does break lol. I moved mine to a much bigger planet I found now it dont do anything. It still pops up every ten years but the choices dont affect my new or old capital. Any way to consal it back in? or something
