HoverProbe MK3 Hollow

A HoverProbe, usually used as a form of short-range distress beacon. The HoverProbe MK3 was designed and mass produced in the year 2184 during the interstellar wars of the 2180s. These wars, fought over and with the technological upgrades from the year 2179 increased the demand for distress beacons, which included the HoverProbe MK1 and HoverProbe MK2. The designers of the HoverProbe series decided to take advantage of this by creating the MK3 version. This version automatically aligns itself towards the nearest magnetic north pole, marked by a white line on the body - painted a light gray steel colour while retaining the wood-like texture of previous models. The MK3 version is more bulky due to the increased circuitry and logic inside. A new light has been added on the top side of the probe as well.

This version of the MK3 has been hollowed out with the thrusters and lights removed. It was designed after the marketers of the HoverProbe series realised that they are making probes, not distress beacons. Designed and Mass Produced in the year 2185.

Has a switch on the top to open the inside for the addition of various experiments.
