I know, two ships! But please, hold back your enthusiasm so as not to be disappointed. These ships, afterall, are rather identical in appearance. Why then say we are releasing two ships?! Are you mad you martian? I assure you, we at V-Industries are very sane, so allow us to explain and present...

The Komainu and Shishi V 4G Warp Miners!

That's right, we at V-Industries have been hard at work developing a 4G miner SV, capable of taking you to even the most intense gravity planets in the systems, and oh.. oh did we deliver. The Komainu and the Shishi, both outstanding puppers of unparalaxed diggy diggy prowess, both capable of lifting respectable tones of precious metals and traverse hazardous wastelands, such as the dreaded Plasma Planet. But again, you ask, why two?

The Komainu was the initial ship to be built with the intentions of housing a warp drive, single gat turret, and be 4G capable. The name chosen by our founder was a nod back to ancient Teran cultures which she fondly admires. The name Komainu translates to "Lion-Dog", named apply for, and I quote "the "cute" way her landing gears make her look". Upon completion and testing of the Komainu, our founder herself was so impressed with the performance, she wanted to not only improve upon it, but also add to the Lion-Dog legend. Afterall, its seen in many Teran images and "picture books" that there is always two Lion-Dogs guarding a structure. Thus the Shishi (also translated to Lion-Dog) was made as a sister vessel, with some small improvements.

So what is the difference between the two? Ah, that is a simple answer: CPU, Storage, and Firepower.

The Komainu comes stock with enough thrust to take off and fly safely in both 2G and 4G planets while still having a significant cargo weight of harvested ore. Her harvest weight is a respectable 10k. She has a warp drive, micro warp drive, and mobile shield ta boot. She is also as compact as she can be for her class size, to maximize digging and minimize getting stuck in holes.

The Shishi is similarly capable in the thrust compartment but boasts more CPU, allowing for an extended storage and upgraded weapons and shields. Similarly capable of warp, the trade off for the Shishi is her hull size and cost. Her harvest storage comes at a wapping 18k for her size, boasting significantly more storage for those heavier ores, however, this also means her build cost has been increased, along with her mass weight. Having to require additional CPU's, Container Extenders, and an extra generator to manage power, this increased her body size by a margin of two in length, though she is as slim as her sister.

Thus, you are presented with a pleasant choice of ship...s! Each both capable already in their current set as Warp 4G miners, but with your choice of compact, cheaper cost, and greater maneuverability in holes, or more harvest space for your buck. As well, with upgraded Gat Cannons and Turret on the Shishi, she can more easily deal with Abyssal horrors on those dreaded Plasma Planets, though the Komainu is still very capable in this area with its lighter variants. So, we present the choice to you, good wayfarers and happily give you the Komainu and Shishi 4G warp Miners for your fleets.
