Nova Republica

Description
This mod adds the beginnings of my first faction which I have dubbed the Nova Republica. Currently it contains 6 new hulls and 12 new weapons, with more planned to be added eventually.


Hulls:

• Cantor-class Corvette
• Quaestor-class Frigate
• Liberator-class Destroyer
• Mediator-class Missile Cruiser
• Senator-class Battlecruiser
• Elector-class Battleship


Weapons:

• 3 PD turrets
• 3 120mm cannons
• 3 250mm cannons
• 3 450mm cannon


Future Content Planned:

• Carrier and Small Craft (after carrier update)
• Some form of dreadnaught or supercapital (May or may not happen)
• Nameplates and Faction Icon (I'm planning on trying this on another faction first, if I can get it to work I'll revisit it here)


My hope is to balance the Nova Republica in line with vanilla factions; feedback on this would be appreciated, either here or on Mod-feedback thread on the Nebulous Discord.


Shout out and thanks to the denizens of the Nebulous: Fleet Command’s mod-development community, I probably would have given up on this project if not for your help.

Sorry I haven't put much effort into this recently. I was working on some ships for another faction I want to make, then I went on vacation and couldn't find the motivation to go back to modelling when I got back.

I've been doing some testing with these hulls, and they're very interesting. They feel a bit OP right now, due to their volume tank. Could we maybe see a structure health nerf so they'll go down a little faster

I might get around to it eventually but no promises. If I do it'll probably be inspired by the Bellator (the best SSD variant in my opinion).

As of now my plans for the next update will include a couple of fighters and some hangers for the existing hulls. The update after that will add a dedicated carrier and a few more small craft.

After all that I may look into making a dreadnaught

Nice, any chance on a Dreadnought variant? like the Super Star Destroyer? since your ships remind me of ISDs. ^_^ :steamhappy:

No ETA yet. Still waiting for the process to be more figured out before I take a stab at it. I have one mostly modelled craft ready for when I do.
