More Foraging Search Focus Categories

Description
This mod is largely one for foraging veterans. It does not add any new items, simply changes the categories and makes most of them focusable. Most of these changes will only apply at high levels of foraging.

This mod adds search focuses to Clothing, Medical, Packaged Food, Dead Animals, Forest Rarities, Ammunition, and Weapons foraging categories. Merges junk foraging category into trash foraging category.

These unlock at:

Foraging 4: Junk category items have been moved to trash category, allowing search focus for it indirectly when trash category unlocks at level 4.

Foraging 7: Clothing and Medical
Focus chance: 5% Min 20% Max

Foraging 8: Packaged Food
Focus chance: 5% Min 15% Max

Foraging 9: Dead Animals and Forest Rarities
Focus chance: 5% Min 10% Max

Foraging 10: Weapons and Ammunition
Focus chance: 5%

Dead Animals is simply the same animals trapping can capture, and forest rarities is hiking gear.

Do note, that while these categories can be focused anywhere, they will not apply any changes unless it is in a zone it can actually naturally drop those items in. Forest rarities can only spawn in deep forest, as an example. Some of the UI in the search mode screen was very misleading, forest rarities as another example had the category shown to drop in forests too, but each item was programmed to only spawn in deep forest. If it is a category I've modified, I've changed that so the Search Mode UI will only tell you it can spawn in zones the items are also coded to spawn in.

IMPORTANT NOTE: I'm very inexperienced at modding, although with this most recent update this mod should be more compatible with other foraging mods. However, if you do believe it is causing you issues uninstall it.

@LambVORTEX

I have an old save from 2025-04-05 (B42) with \MoreForagingCategories missing. It's not a Mandela effect — someone, at some point, made this mod or a similar one for B42.

I had a mandela effect and thought that I had this mod for Build 42. Man...

And if you turn on some other mods that add items to Junk's list (Like "How to make distillers" magazine from FuelCraft mod) all trash piles almost always generate that item even if it's chance set to 1 in "legendary" tier (noticed that something was off when got this mag 5 times in a row from several piles)

Thanks for the great mod!
Wanted to ask if you noticed your mod affecting how trash piles generate items in any way?
Was running a save with your mod and some other mods that added items to foraging "Junk" category and noticed that trash piles spawn only items added by those other mods.
Then created clean saves with just your mod and with no mods at all. With no mods at all at Max Foraging after running through most of trash piles of Riverside I got 50+ spawned (bags, cans, paperclips, regular trash) but with your mod on and also maxed Foraging was able to find just 2 items (gargabe bag and camera).

@Andy the mod merged junk category into the trash category, I didn't see the need to have two trash categories. I'll make it more obvious in the description

@ICKA - ICantKillAnyone, what about the junk category? It has a lot of useful things and materials

@SimplyVORTEX and @Peeping peacock
Thank you for the kind words.

@Krilton
Yeah, I managed to make the files way simpler for this recent update, but sadly there's not a lot of foraging mods for me to reference so I just had to try a bunch of different things until I managed to make the code do what I wanted to do. It should be a lot more compatible with other foraging mods now at the very least.

@Ayomira
Sorry, but I do not plan to add any new foraging categories. This mod was simply to make the hidden foraging categories more accessible by giving them search focuses.

I've been wanting a mod like this! Thank you!
