Description
Spiff's Practical Engineered Solutions, a division of the Weyland-Yutani Corporation, presents an improved version of the C-6 'Oso' Colonizer, a vanilla small-grid design without mods, and contains no rotors or pistons making it a perfect survival-ready solution for interplanetary colonizing, heavy cargo transport to or from planets, and tunneling and/or mining operations. Fitted with 1 medium and 6 large cargo containers, the C-6 Colonizer is designed to carry incredibly large quantities of parts, ore, and/or ingots to or from a planet's surface. In fact, the C-6 Colonizer has been successfully tested on all planets carrying a full load of iron ingots! Its 14 large atmospheric lift thrusters significantly reduce hydrogen consumption when operating within a planet's gravity well that has a suitable atmosphere. Power is provided by 2 small and 4 large batteries, and 2 large reactors, with 2 hydrogen engines for backup power and battery charging. Its 4 small and large hydrogen tanks are rapidly replenished by 8 O2/H2 generators, and an oxygen tank and survival kit are included for life support.

Designed for hostile environments, the C-6 Colonizer has 2 top-mounted autocannon turrets, 1 bottom-mounted Gatling turret near the rear for defense, 2 separately controllable rail guns for offense, and two deployable decoys are available for escaping enemies. To further enhance survivability, an integrated top-mounted projector will project a tunneling attachment that can be built for establishing underground or inter-asteroid facilities. More information for tunneling is provided below. Unlike the original design, however, this tunneling attachment utilizes integrated conveyor sorters so mining activities may be performed.

NO MODS AND NO ROTORS/PISTONS; SURVIVAL READY AND PROJECTOR BUILDABLE!

NOTES FOR BUILDING WITH A PROJECTOR IN SURVIVAL
(See the last two pictures for the projector's configuration.)
1. Build a rotor frame on a powered grid; remove the large-grid rotor head and replace with a small-grid rotor head and lock rotation.
2. Stack 3 armor blocks, minimum, vertically atop the small-grid rotor head to provide sufficient clearance for building the miner.
3. Build a small-grid projector on top of the topmost armor block; for consistency, rename the projector to be "C6 - Projector".
4. Load the blueprint into the projector; click on the setting to retain the blueprint after construction is complete.
5. Build the blueprint.
6. When completed, grind away the small-grid rotor head, armor blocks, and rotor frame, leaving the projector in place for future repairs.

NOTES FOR TUNNELING IN SURVIVAL
(See the pictures for a visual representation of the process.)
1. Turn off the ship's projector.
2. Remove the light armor slope 2×1×1 base block directly behind the air vent that's located on top of the cockpit.
3. The tunneling attachment projector is turned off; turn it on to display the tunneling attachment projection.
4. Build the tunneling attachment.
5. Build a large-grid armor block guide rail for tunneling; the actual floor of the tunnel will be one block lower.
6. Turn off the autolock feature for the magnetic plates (select {5} from the fourth cockpit menu).
7. Align the ship over the armor block guide rail using the down camera down view (select {4} from the first cockpit menu).
8. Lower the ship until it rests on the large-grid armor block guide rail; tilt your player's view slightly downward to have a clear view of the rail.
9. Depress {1} to select drills from the third cockpit menu, right-click your mouse to clear, and slowly move the ship forward to clear the tunnel while periodically tapping the down key to keep the ship in contact with the guide rail.

NOTES FOR ASCENDING TO SPACE WITH A FULL LOAD
1. Enter the ship's cockpit and go to the second cockpit menu, or depress {Ctrl}-{2}.
2. Repeatedly tap {2}, {5}, and {8} to increase thrust override for all "UP" thrusters until they reach maximum override.
3. Go to the first cockpit menu, then tap {7}, {8}, and {9} to turn on all thrusters.
4. Tap {5} or {6} to switch lock on the landing gear or bottom connector, respectively; the ship will start ascending.
5. Go back to the second cockpit menu. When the upward speed approaches 90 m/s, tap {7} to reduce thrust override for the large hydrogen thrusters until the ship starts to slow down; tap {8} to increase thrust override for the large hydrogen thrusters as the altitude increases and the atmospheric thrusters become less effective.
6. Tap {7] to decrease or {8} to increase thrust override for the large hydrogen thrusters; the goal is to maintain speed between 90m/s and 95 m/s.
7. At the elevation where gravity starts to decrease, the velocity will start to increase. Once again, tap {7} to reduce thrust override to the large hydrogen thrusters.
8. When outside the planet's gravity well, tap {1}, {4}, and {7} to decrease thrust override for all "UP" thrusters until they are disabled; the ship will slow to a stop.
