So GREAT news if your elevators suddenly changed to 640/min with the Aug 11th update, you can restore the FULL 1280/min speed using Foundry Tuner .
Install the mod, load a save, and quit the game. Launch the game to main menu, and go into Mod > Foundry Tuner settings > Freight Elevators and find the Mini Freight Elevators in the list (should be all three variants, 1x1, 1x2, 1x4). Change all three to 32 per tick.
I loaded my save and ALL my elevators are back to the full 1280/min that my massive build was mathed out around.

For me the visual elevator does not show, I only have the top and bottom parts, but there is nothing inbetween. They still work though.

Looked at his some more... It is not mod dependend - disabling all other mods don't help. Then I saw the game Hotfix from 11.08 "Fixed throughput issue on freight elevator". Probably this fix is the problem :(

Hmm... My Mini elevators changed speed these days!? In crafting screen the tooltip says they are 640 Items/min fast. I am sure as I installed them they were much faster. What happens? Any Idea?

what kind of mod editing program is needed?

Love the idea, but it would be great if loaders were not needed. Is that even possible or do the game mechanics require those annoying loaders on everything?

Take your time, this mod is worth it as it helps solve the conveor lift issue the game seems to have for multi-floor factories.
